I especially enjoyed that he covered the benefits of serving and also the downfalls. It’s like love—God first loved us when we were unlovely and unattractive.
This appears to be the only thing of Swindoll’s that I’ve read, and perhaps I should give another work a chance when I’m not set to pre-judge it based on the title.
Supernatural Ability of the Renewed Mind. Charles does provide a very intriguing analogy of what it must be like for God as He watches people study the Bible, but not act improvig it. Even in giving the author the benefit of the doubt, I couldn’t recommend this book because it leaves you with the dangerous understanding improvlng you can have it all: Showing of 71 reviews. Includes lots of scriptural references, and I appreciated them being quoted in full often these sorts of books chrles you have a Bible at the ready to look them up yourself. This book cause me to struggle for years in my walk with some nonsense of being a servant. He takes the subject and really puts it into practical terms that are easy to understand and put into practice.

Swindoll’s daily devotionals which just so happened to be pulling from this book. Books by Charles R. In the last five chapters, we find some of the most helpful teaching in the Bible on how to model a way of life that is genuinely Christian.
What makes this book so good is Chuck’s style and way of communicating. He gives a sindoll insight in this book on what it means to serve like Jesus served. Want to Read saving…. Thanks for telling us about the problem.
