This book contains a ridiculous amount of formulae from many of the engineering disciplines, with a large section on heat and page upon page of differential and integral equations and forces. The book also provides more than enough information for the student to be able to adapt and apply general principles to the majority of situations. For any engineering student or practicing engineer, this book is a ‘must have’. One person found this helpful.
My first encounter with Gieck’s pocket books was in Germany, where I bought the book “Gieck, Technische Formelsammlung”. This new edition is very much extended, taking in more areas. One must remember that this pocket book is a collection of formulas only. It is a reminder or reference source. Some previous knowledge is required. It is concise and very informative.
It is a book to keep nearby at all times. Handy tool that I use everyday. I highly recommend this to Engineering students and professionals alike. Don’t need all of the formulas in this book but they are all there if I do need them.
I bought this to aid my studies and it has proved very eeiner so far. It came well packaged and I would recommend. See all 31 reviews.
